It will soon be easier to learn about the work of ARCS® Foundation, ARCS Scholars and ARCS Scholar alums. The new website for the National organization and all 17 Chapters will feature a complete array of descriptions, photos and documents for those seeking information about this 53-year-old organization that exists to promote U.S. scientific advancement.
Partnering with ARCS Foundation to implement the new website and member/donor/scholar database are West Monroe Partners, a management consulting firm, and Promet Solutions, a Web development company. West Monroe Partners and Promet also will develop a new governance and support model for managing, maintaining and developing the website’s capabilities.
ARCS Foundation chose West Monroe Partners and Promet Solutions because of their multidisciplinary experience, as well as their capabilities for helping the organization transform the way it communicates with constituents and manages its organizational assets.
ARCS Foundation is a nationwide organization that advances science and technology in the United States by providing financial awards to academically outstanding U.S. students in the fields of science, engineering and medical research.
“We are proud to partner with an organization of the caliber of ARCS Foundation,” said David Tilson, senior manager at West Monroe Partners and a leader in the firm’s Customer Experience practice. “Our shared values and visions for the future enabled us to collaborate effectively with the volunteers of ARCS Foundation National and Chapters around the country to develop a Web design that embodies creativity, member inclusion and flexibility. We are excited to work with this team of talented, focused and motivated people.”
Mary Snitch, National president of ARCS Foundation, stated, “ARCS Foundation is extremely excited about our long-term relationship established with West Monroe, and we are confident that the launch of this project will propel our growth and bring enormous benefits to the National organization, all of our 17 Chapters, and our ARCS Scholars across the country. This new website is the largest project ever endeavored by ARCS Foundation in our 53-year history — the time has come, and we are ready!
“This award to West Monroe Partners was made possible through our Lockheed Martin Corporate partnership and donations by ARCS Foundation members.”
Andy Kucharski, president of Promet Solutions, was equally enthusiastic. “Promet Solutions could not be more thrilled about the partnership with West Monroe Partners to design and build the ARCS Foundation website using open source tools such as the Drupal CMS and CiviCRM. We believe this effort will create state of the art online presence and enable ARCS Foundation to better communicate with its constituents.”
ARCS Foundation expects to launch its new site by September 1, 2011.
