#GivingTuesday is an international campaign to inspire giving for nonprofit and charitable organizations. ARCS Foundation National participated in the campaign for 2024 and exceeded the goal of $120,000.
ARCS Members, current ARCS Scholars, ARCS Scholar Alumni, and Friends of ARCS all gave to help the national organization reach a grand total of $147, 388 (as of January 9, 2025). Joan Foley, ARCS Foundation Vice President of Philanthropy, says this year’s campaign was outstanding.
“Thanks to the generosity of past and present ARCS National Board members with a robust match of over $60,000, and to long-time donors among chapter members, scholars, friends of ARCS, and new donors, the #GivingTuesday Campaign dedicated to operations and the endowment, was our most successful fundraiser to date,” Foley said. “We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our donors.”
Members made up the majority of donors, with 110 total individuals committing to giving. There were 49 Friends of ARCS and 18 Scholars/Alumni who contributed. The approximate amounts given by each group are as follows:
- Members: $68,969.58
- Friends: $11,862.75
- Scholars/Alumni: $4,056.00
Your donation to ARCS Foundation encourages chapter growth and cultivates scientific competitiveness throughout the nation. At the chapter level, donations are used to improve chapters through training, fundraising, and communication support.
